Chairman: Lt Col W Raitt  E-mail:  Chairman
Branch Secretary - Mr Ronny Johnston:  Secretary
(Posted 12 Feb 2018)

Branch AGM Thursday 5 April 2018 – The Branch will hold its AGM in the Glasgow Room at the ARC, Crow Road, Glasgow G11 7DG. All appointments (Vice-chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and PRO) will be up for re-election at this meeting and the Chairman would like to invite all current incumbents and any suitable candidates who wish to be considered for any of these appointments to apply, in writing, for re-election / election by Monday 2 April 2018. Any volunteers to become Committee Members for the Branch, please inform the Secretary. All branch members are welcome to attend this meeting. This meeting also allows us to discuss any issues which we can take forward to the Association AGM in May.

Branch Annual Dinner Saturday 26 May 2018 – Unfortunately the planned dinner night in The Hallmark Hotel, Glasgow fell through. We have however managed to book a new venue in the Motherwell Miners Bowling Club 274 Ladywell Rd, Motherwell ML1 3HD instead. The Dinner form is attached to this Newsletter. The price has been kept to a minimum at only £15 per head. There will also be, probably for the first time ever at a branch dinner, a singing duet to entertain us all on the night. A small raffle will be held on the night along with an auction of a couple of prints. Anyone wishing to donate prizes, please bring them with you on the night.

Armed Forces Day Saturday 30 June 2018 – The National Parade this year will be held in Llandudno, Northern Wales. As yet no formal warning order has been received as to a parade in Glasgow, however it is hoped that this will be forthcoming shortly.

Association Golf Meeting Friday 7 September 2018 – This meeting will be held once again at St Michael’s Golf Club, Leuchars. The cost is £26 per head and includes: Bacon roll and coffee/tea to start with, green fees and 2 course meal after the event. Please let the chairman know if you will be attending so that everything can be booked well in advance.
